Welcome to my website. My name is Joanna and I am a mother of twin girls. Starting our family was a long and difficult process. It took us 5 years, 1 miscarriage, many fertility shots and finally in-vitro fertilization to be blessed with our two beautiful girls. Our process was a very personal and sometimes painful one. We experienced both the highs and lows of starting a family. I know that there are many people who have similar stories to ours and may feel isolated and unsure of the options available to them. I wanted to create a safe and informative web site to help clear up and support couples who are experiencing fertility problems.

When I knew I was having the girls I wanted to be prepared so that I was not totally overwelmed when they arrived. I armed myself with a lot of helpful books and learned a lot from other mothers, one of which has triplets!! I absorbed as much as I could and when the girls arrived I started putting what I learned to use. I found out that a lot of the advice really helped, but some just did not work for me. I learned that what may work for some babies will not work for another. That is how I came up for the idea for my site. I wanted a place where mothers and fathers could share their experiences and ideas, as well as suggestions for helpful products and books, to make parenthood a bit easier and more enjoyable. There are so many wonderful moments with your new baby that it would be a shame to miss out on things due to stress and chaos. I also wanted a site where not only could people find helpful hints for parenting, but also touching on all stages of life. From babies to old age. That is when Acorn to Oak Tree was born!! I hope that this site provides a little bit of help and happiness for everyone no matter what stage of life you are currently living.
