Motherhood

Got 30 minutes free while your child takes their afternoon nap? Stop washing the dishes and doing laundry and start enjoying that time. Here are some suggestions for a nicer nap time break.

  • Hit the bathroom and give yourself a spa treatment. Try a mini facial: First wash your face with a mild cleanser and pat dry with a towel, next apply a microdermabrasion like Oil of Olay Microdermabrasion & Peel System. Massage skin in a circular motion. Rinse well with warm water. Then apply a clay mask, such as Biore’ Shine Control Clay mask. Let dry for 10 minutes. Finally rinse off the mask and apply a moisturizer.
  • Write down your thoughts by keeping a motherhood journal or poetry book. Writing can help relieve stress and be very therapeutic to the soul.
  • Revive an old hobby such as scrapbooking, gardening or painting.
  • Pick up the phone and call a girlfriend and catch up on the latest gossip. Sometimes as mothers it’s hard to stay in touch.
  • Relax with a cup of coffee or herbal tea and your favorite magazine or shop online.
